Hungarian Delegation to Face Snub in Helsinki
The Hungarian Parliament is sending delegations to Stockholm and Helsinki to discuss NATO enlargement, but they have already received one negative response from the Finnish capital. As previously announced, the Hungarian government supports the admission of Sweden and Finland to NATO, but there is not a complete agreement in the governing Fidesz-KDNP factions, hence delegations are being sent to clarify some of the controversial issues. Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó recently held talks with his Swedish counterpart in Stockholm and said that talks could be held in the Swedish capital in the coming days. The HVG news portal reported that Erkki Tuomioja, vice-chairman of the Finnish parliament’s foreign affairs committee, believes that “it is not the Hungarian parliament but a delegation of Fidesz and Viktor Orbán that is coming to them”. According to the Finnish politician, “the visit has Hungarian domestic policy objectives”. https://kokainmedve-teljes-filmmagyarul1.statuspage....
